Project outcomes

Improvements to the High Street have already brought new life into the city centre, increasing footfall and boosting the local economy.

Other improvements to Angel Place, Lowesmoor and the Cornmarket have also played a major role in the rejuvenation of Worcester’s city centre. 

The project achieved the following outcomes:

• re-paved the street with materials that complement and match those used in nearby streets
• dedicated pedestrianised areas have been widened and street furniture improved
• the benches and bins have been refurbished
• replacement trees planted. 
• Worcester BID have very generously agreed in principal to sponsor the hanging basket flowers
