Information on the work for LCWIP taking place in Redditch

Thank You

Our public engagement survey has now ended, but we want to thank everyone who took part for helping to shape our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Redditch.

All comments will be reviewed and duly considered. Whilst we are not able to respond to individuals, an Engagement Report will be published on our web page, including a summary of key themes and issues.

Our response to each theme or issue will also be shown in this report. Where appropriate, the draft Redditch Local Cycling and Walking Plan will be amended and following adoption, published on our website in early 2025.

Proposed routes

These were the five routes that were recommended by our transport and planning consultancy, Sustrans to be of the highest priority. They were recommended to be delivered first as they offer the greatest benefit to the local community, encouraging more walking and cycling.

The prioritisation also focused on areas with low vehicle ownership, aiming to create better, safer, and connected cycling and walking routes.

These routes serve key locations including Redditch Town Centre, Crabbs Cross, Headless Cross, Unicorn Hill, Easemore Road, Studley Road Island, Church Green East, Alexandra Hospital, Abbey Stadium, Arrow Valley, schools and local employment areas.
