Adult Learning Worcestershire
Adult Learning Worcestershire offer full and part-time courses to learners aged 19+ living in Worcestershire.
We offer a mix of qualification-based and non-accredited skills courses in English, maths, digital skills, plus vocational programmes with clear routes to work opportunities; such as support work in schools and hair and beauty programmes.
Tailored learning
Tailored learning offers non-accredited, part-time courses designed to support positive wellbeing and/or a gentle step back into education prior to embarking on further, more formal learning.
It is divided into:
- creative studies - mostly art-based, to engage people in practical activities which can support wellbeing and help learners develop skills
- neighbourhood learning - bringing learning opportunities into the community and some locations of the county that are considered ‘areas of deprivation’
- family learning - mainly delivered in partnership with county primary schools, it is an inter-generational programme where parents/carers can learn alongside their child and build familial bonds and empower families to support a child’s learning
- digital skills - courses cover what people need to know to safely benefit from, take part in, and be a part of the digital world, supporting the development of key digital skills
All courses take place in small, friendly groups in easy-to-access locations such as Worcestershire Libraries, community hubs, Adult Learning Worcestershire's dedicated learning centres in Warndon, Worcester and Church Hill, Redditch, and some online options.
