Have your say about Redditch Railway Station
The Redditch Railway Station public engagement exercise has now finished.
Public engagement
The Redditch Railway Station public engagement exercise finished on 7 August 2023.
The purpose of the engagement exercise was to provide an opportunity for the local community, businesses, and other stakeholders to comment on the plans for Redditch Railway Station.
Worcestershire County Council has now reviewed and considered all the feedback received.;
A summary of the comments received and how these have been used to inform the development of the proposals can be found here: Pre-planning public engagement update (Word doc).
Why we needed your feedback
Worcestershire County Council is currently preparing a planning application which will be submitted to the local planning authority by the end of 2023.
A Statement of Community Engagement will be included to support the application. It will describe the public engagement process and feedback from
- residents
- businesses
- other stakeholders
Once a planning application has been received by Worcestershire County Council in its capacity as local planning authority, they will make the planning application documents available for viewing on their online public access system and will write to consultees to invite comments.
Further information about commenting on a planning application can be found online on the Planning applications page.
Worcestershire County Council’s ambition is for construction to commence by early 2025, subject to necessary consents, and completed in 2026.
Construction will be phased with the intention of Redditch Railway Station remaining operational throughout.
