Worcestershire Libraries offer a wide range of engaging visits for groups of children and young people in education or pre-school.

Library visits are designed with National Curriculum Objectives in mind and are structured and delivered in a way to help children and young people to continue to learn and develop outside the classroom.

Library staff will also visit your school or early years setting to deliver outreach sessions during an assembly or a class.

Sessions Include:

Welcome to the Library: 

What has the library got to offer? 

Library staff will explain what is on offer in the library for the age attending, including facilities, resources, activities, and events.

Summer Reading Challenge:

Promotion of the Summer Reading Challenge – what the challenge involves and how to sign up

What incentives are on offer, what events and activities will be run in libraries that children can get involved with, and how to complete the challenge.

Book Blitz: 

Encourages students to consider reading a wider range of books, authors, and genres. 

Students work as teams discussing a variety of books before coming together to vote for their favourites.
