Being active in pregnancy (DRAFT - Best start)
Exercise is good for you and your baby, there are lots of opportunities to keep active during pregnancy.
Gentle exercise during pregnancy is good (and safe) for you and your baby. Not only does it help you maintain a healthy weight but it also helps prepare your body for labour.
Keep up your normal daily physical activity or exercise (sport, running, yoga, dancing, or even walking to the shops and back) for as long as you feel comfortable.
National guidelines suggest pregnant women should be aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity every week throughout pregnancy with muscle strengthening activities twice a week.
