Work Experience does not have to be carried out in the traditional placement model, it can be conducted through “industry visits” this is where students are taken to an employer for an industry style visit and get to experience the working environment as well as understand that particular business and its job roles.
If you would like to find out more about Industry visits or would like to organise a visit. Worcestershire Apprenticeships can support you in identifying suitable employers and arrange for the visits to take place on a day and time to suit you. More information can be found below
Please note, if you are an educational establishment in Redditch, Bromsgrove or Wyre Forest, Worcestershire Apprenticeships will support the organisation of your industry visit through the Opening Doors for Business programme.
In order to carry out meaningful experiences of the workplace, it is important that you have employers who can support you with the delivery.
You can find Worcestershire employers in your district who can support with work experience or industry visits.
If you would like to develop your own network of support, the Parent Pledge campaign has been designed as a ready to go campaign that educational establishments can use to encourage parents of students to sign up and pledge their support to your careers programme.
