Autism & Me (Developed by Autistic Young People) Workshop for Parent Carers
A workshop for parents, carers, and family members of young people with SEND who are interested in understanding autism.
Join us for a relaxed and informative session designed by autistic young people, for those who support them. Hosted by Learning Services Worcestershire and delivered by SENDIASS, this workshop gives you a chance to hear directly from young people about their experiences of autism—what it means to them, the challenges they face, and how you can offer support in a way that really helps.
Together we will explore
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- what autism is (and what it isn’t)
- understanding behaviours - what’s really going on
- practical ways to support an autistic young person
- helpful resources and websites
How are the sessions delivered
These sessions will run as face to face workshops.
This is an interactive session, so bring your questions! Whether you're a parent, carer, or family member, this is your chance to learn, ask, and understand in a supportive space.
