Thousands of people across the country pledge to quit smoking every year for Stoptober on 1 October.

This year, anyone who lives in Worcestershire can get even more help to quit with a brand-new stop smoking service.

The number of smokers in Worcestershire has reduced recently and is below the national average.

Quitting smoking is one of the best decisions you can make for your health. The benefits start almost immediately, and it's never too late to stop.

You are more likely to quit with support, and now there is no reason to quit alone.

A team of specialist advisors who can help you quit will provide you with free, expert advice tailored to your needs for up to four weeks.

Councillor David Ross, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at Worcestershire County Council said:“Quitting smoking can be a challenging journey, but evidence shows that with the right support, it can be done successfully.

That is why I am absolutely delighted to introduce this new service, which is available to everyone in Worcestershire, and will be a valuable addition to the support we offer to improve people’s health.”

What we offer
