Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service are hosting a Worcestershire Heritage Day on Saturday 16th July.
The event is a part of The Hive at Ten programme of events, marking 10 years since The Hive opened.
Local heritage venues and organisations will be taking part in the day between 10am and 4pm.
There’ll be lots to see and do throughout the day, including displays and activities for families and children to interact with.
Paul Hudson, Learning and Outreach Manager for Worcestershire Archives and Archaeology, said: “I’m really looking forward to Heritage Day as part of the wider Hive at 10 celebrations. There is something for everybody; We’ll have talks or tours on the hour in the Glass room on Level 0. You can reserve a place beforehand, with remaining places available on the day.”
Some of the activities for attendees on the day include:
- the opportunity to take part in a Sandpit excavation and quill writing for families in the Children’s Library.
- meet re-enactors
- bringing your archive and research questions
- a rock and fossil quiz
- bringing small archaeological items for identification
