Summer holiday health tips every parent needs to help teenagers stay well

Schools out and summer holidays are here. It’s a time to unwind and have some fun, but it’s all too easy for some unhealthy habits to creep in to the daily routine. 

Help your family stay healthy this summer with a brand-new guide for parents and carers.

“Happy Healthy Holidays for Teenagers” is a guide for parents and carers containing information relevant to this age group and lots of links to activities and advice from trusted websites.   

The digital booklet covers important topics such as:

You can also find an extensive section covering mental health: including behaviours to look out for, how to talk about mental health and where to get help.

It’s not just for parents and carers either, there’s also free access to courses for teenagers including “Understanding your feelings” and “Understanding your brain”.

Councillor Karen May, Worcestershire County Council's cabinet member for Health and Wellbeing, said:
