Staff will be visiting libraries across the county this month to raise awareness of how the Here2Help Community Services Directory can support residents.

The Community Services Directory went live last week; it is the latest offer of the Here2Help service and is designed to help residents find the support they need.

People can use the Directory to search for a range of services and support offered by charities, community groups, businesses, the public sector and other organisations in their local area and across the county.

The Library Sessions will run from 9:30am to 2pm

Councillor Matt Dormer, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “Here2Help has been such a success and the Community Services Directory is the next step forward for the programme and I’m really pleased it’s now live. Our staff will be available at local libraries to help residents to understand how Here2Help and the directory can benefit them, so please do come along and have a chat with them.”

Following its launch last year, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Here2Help has provided a range of support to thousands of individuals in need of help during the pandemic.

Here2Help will still support people who need to self-isolate and those who are unable to seek help from family, friends or neighbours.
