These are:

  • resilience and Innovation Award
  • b&b and Guest House of The Year
  • hotel of the Year
  • camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year
  • experience of the Year
  • large Visitor Attraction of the Year

Local businesses including Stoford, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and MFG Solicitors have already committed to sponsoring awards.

The awards, hosted by Visit Worcestershire are a chance for tourism and hospitality businesses to have their hard work recognised, with an evening of celebration to be held next year.

Winners of the Worcestershire awards will also be automatically entered into the VisitEngland national awards to be recognised against other worthy winners in the Country.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills at Worcestershire County Council said: “We want to give the county the opportunity to come together to celebrate the resilience and innovation seen across the sector here in Worcestershire and we’re really looking forward to celebrating their successes at next year’s awards ceremony.

“I’d encourage anyone who’d like to celebrate a particular local business, to let them know about the opportunity to enter. Similarly, if you know anyone who could sponsor an award, please share the opportunity and the contact details with them.”

Businesses will be able to enter in into as many categories as they are eligible for with 12 categories in total including Hotel of the Year, New Tourism Business Award and Resilience and Innovation Award.

Entries initially opened last month and you are still able to enter through the Visit Worcestershire website.
