The applications will be open for any child due to start school for the first time or moving to a Middle or High School in September 2024.

For children applying for a place at High school, the deadline to apply is the 31 October 2023. 

For Primary, First, Infant, Junior and Middle schools, parents will have until 15 January 2024. 

Guides on starting school or transitioning to a new school will be available on the website on transitioning to a new school will be distributed by schools.   

Councillor Tracey Onslow, cabinet member with responsibility for Education at Worcestershire County Council said, “Starting school and the move to the next stages of education are important and exciting steps in the lives of children and young  people. 

“We aim to make this change as smooth as possible. Every child that has applied for a place, on time, will receive an offer of a school place.  

“Therefore, it is especially important that application deadlines are met, to maximise the potential of receiving an offer at one of your preferred schools for 2024.” 

Parents and carers can apply for their child’s school place via a secure online portal any time before 12 midnight on the relevant deadline day. 

If you do not have access to the internet, Worcestershire Libraries offer free computer use and Wi-Fi access at all their libraries.
