Top Athletes Steve Cram and Allison Curbishley will be making an appearance on the Health and Wellbeing Zone at this year's Business Expo.
The Business Expo is taking place this Thursday 10 October at the University Arena in Worcester between 9:00am and 3:00pm, and visitors will hear about the great health and wellbeing support available for businesses to access.
The Public Health Team at Worcestershire County Council are proud to be sponsoring the Health and Wellbeing Zone this year.
Under the banner of Healthy Worcestershire, visitors can find out about a range of free support services aimed specifically at businesses and the workplace.
The running stars are joining Worcestershire County Council's Public Health Team to promote the opportunities available for businesses to get involved with the Worcester City and Wythall Fun Runs.
Both events are supported by Public Health and are great opportunities for people to get active. Businesses can get involved by encouraging their staff to do Couch 2 5k, take part in the Business Challenge or offer other support.
Businesses will also meet representatives from the Work Well Live Better programme. It is a free service that offers businesses accredited and evidence-based resources, support, and training to help make positive and impactful changes to the health and wellbeing of the workforce. The programme also hosts regular events and offers bespoke targeted support to help businesses create a happier, healthier workforce.
Organisations can also find out more about The Orange Button scheme to support their employees Mental Health.
The Orange Button is worn by people who have relevant training in suicide prevention. They are there to listen, signpost to local support, and help reduce stigma by talking openly about suicide.
At the Business Expo you will also hear about our free support to anyone wishing to quit smoking. We can support your business to help staff quit smoking and get them signed up. This includes weekly telephone support, product advice and vouchers for vape products for up to four weeks.
