Registration for the Autumn Business Worcestershire Conference is now open.

The conference, due to take place next month during Business Finance Week, will educate businesses on financing growth, how to best pitch for investment, managing cash flow and Research and Development (R and D) tax credits.

Attendees will hear the latest insight from expert finance speakers, participate in energising discussions and have the chance to network and learn about the support available throughout the county.

The conference will be hosted at Worcestershire County Cricket Club, on 8 November from 8:00am to 12:30pm.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy, Skills and Infrastructure, said, “After receiving such positive feedback from our conference earlier on in the year, I am looking forward to welcoming our local businesses to the Autumn conference. With the ongoing challenges businesses face, it has never been more vital for best practise and insight to be shared, and opportunities to be identified. I hope our conference can help bring local businesses together to share their experiences and to take away practical support.”

The conference is open to all businesses across the county of all sizes, from start ups to SMEs to large-scale corporations.

Confirmed speakers include Chris Walklett, Tax Partner at Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants, Dave Perrigo, CEO and Founder of Perrigo Consultants, Tracy Sherratt, West Midlands Senior Manager Representative from the British Business Bank and Steve Harris, Director at Central Finance.

Chris Walklett, Tax Partner at Bishop Flemming, said,The next Business Worcestershire Conference and its finance focus could not be better timed, given the challenges being faced by business and business owners. Business is crying out for support, and much support abounds. But in areas such as R and D Tax Credits, there are changes afoot that could add to the challenges faced by local businesses. It is critical that business owners are up to speed with everything that is presenting in a fast-changing economy and fiscal climate.”

The conference is free to attend, and refreshments and breakfast will be served on the day.

Visit the Business Worcestershire Event page to find out more information on the sessions, and to register. Spaces are limited, so you will need to book quick.
