Families across Worcestershire have found out over the Easter weekend, which primary school their children will be starting at this September.

91% of the county’s youngest school pupils received an offer from one of their top three choices.

9 out of 10 children will be starting at their first choice of primary school and middle school this September.

This year in Worcestershire, the County Council received 6,094 primary school applications, and 2,474 middle school applications.

Everyone who made an application for a primary school or middle school place has received an offer.

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Education, said: “We aim to make the milestone moment of starting school as smooth as possible for parents and students across the county. It is fantastic that so many of Worcestershire’s children will be starting primary school in one of their preferred schools in September.”

99% of this year’s primary and middle school applications in Worcestershire were made online by visiting the dedicated pages of the Council’s website.

School place offers are available to view via logging on to your account, and an email will be sent informing you of the outcome of your application.

If you would like to appeal your child's school place offer, please visit the schools page of the County Council website and download the Appeals Information Document.
