Visit Worcestershire have recently launched a brand new website to increase awareness and encourage visitors to experience the county.
Partnering with tourism website specialists, Destination Core, the website is designed to showcase the beauty and wide variety of tourist attractions in the county providing plenty of inspiration for potential tourists. The design features high-quality imagery, itineraries, trip planners and blogs.
Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The brand-new Visit Worcestershire website improves our marketing capabilities to promote Worcestershire as the ideal destination for a short or longer break in the county. Bringing all together our fantastic range of attractions, accommodation and hospitality businesses in one central user-friendly website.”
Accessibility is front and centre of the new site, there is a clear focus on user experience and accessible tourism attractions across the county.
A trade website has been launched alongside the main visitor website for the first time in the organisation's history.
The trade website will be used to provide plenty of useful information to group travel organisers and coach operators to highlight Worcestershire as a group-friendly destination. There will also be dedicated pages on marketing opportunities, Tourism Awards and regional networking events.
Destination Core were commissioned to build the site due to their expertise in destination websites, with previous experience in developing many other destination management organisation sites, including Visit York.
