Worcestershire County Council’s Elevate Technology programme is currently recruiting its second cohort of businesses to sign up to its free specialist support.

The programme aims to help businesses across the county embrace digital technology and to identify and implement digital technology projects.

There are 12 hours of fully funded digital technology consultancy support up for grabs as well as the opportunity to apply for a 40% match-funded grant of up to £4,000 on completion of the programme.

The programme can help businesses to achieve increased efficiencies, improved online presence, streamlined operations, and growth.

To see if this programme is of benefit to your business, the Elevate Technology team have organised two sessions where eligible businesses will be able to find out more about the support and will gain access to help with the application process.

The first session is a virtual webinar taking place on 31 May, 10am to 12pm and the second is a face-to-face event taking place on 7 June at Worcester’s Cricket Club between 10am to 12pm.

The sessions will be hosted by the delivery partners of the programme, Winning Moves.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy, infrastructure and Skills, said: “Technology can be a great enabler and is a powerful driver of efficiency. Increasing the adoption of technology for businesses is a vital component for staying ahead of the curve and building resilience.

“Through Elevate Technology, we are looking to support SMEs in Worcestershire that are embarking upon digital projects and to help those that are eligible harness technology. This is a great opportunity for businesses across the county and I would urge those eligible to attend one of the sessions available over the next couple of weeks.”

Eligible businesses must be:

  • Trading at least 70% business to business
  • Be based in Worcestershire
  • Be an SME
  • Ideally have 5+ employees
  • Ideally have been trading for more than 3 years
