Resistance bands are strong, elastic bands that can be used to exercise all parts of the body. They can not only build and maintain muscle strength but can also improve your strength and posture, increase mobility, and help with joint pain. Ten minutes using a resistance band is all you need to make a difference.

Free resistance bands are available for collection from all Worcestershire Libraries. Find a library.

Councillor Karen May, Cabinet Member with responsibility for health and wellbeing at Worcestershire County Council, said: “We are really keen for people, especially those over 50 years, to use a resistance band to help them live healthier and longer lives. The assessment tool is the latest addition to us keep on moving, keep strong and flexible and ultimately protect our health.”
