Help the council to improve their services and have your say!

Worcestershire County Council is giving residents the opportunity to join a panel and have their say on what they think about how council services are run where they live.

‘WCC Viewpoint’ is the residents’ panel for research and engagement and the council is looking for more people to join the panel and help to ensure residents are represented in future decisions that they make.

The survey period this year commences on Monday 16 May.  

The council is particularly keen to hear from younger members of the community, those between 18 to 34 to ensure the views of all age groups from across Worcestershire get to have their say about what matters to them, and are taken into consideration.

Less than 3% of the panel represent this age group, and this is something that the Council is really keen to change as this age group make up almost a quarter of the adult population of Worcestershire.

Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Corporate Services and Communication, Councillor Adam Kent said: “Engaging with our residents and understanding their views, concerns and ideas is essential when formulating council policy and delivering services. We want the viewpoint survey to be something that residents of all ages from across the county feel they can get involved in. We’re always reviewing how services are delivered to ensure the best outcomes. It’s really important therefore that as many in Worcestershire as possible join in and let us know what they think.”

Panel members will be asked to complete one short survey a year and are sometimes invited to take part in other surveys, focus groups or workshops, but this is completely optional.
