Worcestershire County Council are hosting an event giving residents an opportunity to ask questions about plans for the new Secondary school in Worcester.

The event will be taking place at County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester on Monday 12 June 2023, from 2pm to 7pm.

Previous consultations held about the new school have allowed parents, carers and stakeholders to give feedback on the age range of the school, the size of the school, the values of the school and the build principles of the school.

Councillor Tracey Onslow, Cabinet Member for Education at Worcestershire County Council, said: “I would encourage local residents to come along to the latest consultation event for the new school in Worcester, see the plans, ask the questions that are important to them, and take the opportunity to have their say. The provision of a new school is really important for the future as it will ensure children can access a secondary school place within their local community in a growing City, as well as improving choice and access.”

In February 2021, Cabinet approved the creation of a new 600 place secondary school, in Worcester, to meet the increased demand for school places in the city over recent years.

It has since been confirmed that the school will be located on a site off Newtown Road.

An online survey for residents to give their view will shortly be made available.
