Have your say as County Council roadshows return

The first stop on this summer’s countywide tour will be the Hanbury Countryside Show, Redditch on Saturday 1 July from 9am to 6pm.

Various County Councillors, and members of staff will be on hand at each event to talk about the wide range of services that the Council provides and supports that make a difference to people’s lives, every single day. 

And if you have ever wondered how the Council spends the money it has available, including how your council tax money is spent, come along to one of the events or visit the webpage for more information.

During last years’ tour of events, over 1,000 face to face conversations with local people took place across the county. 

This year, the Council hopes to talk to even more people and hear what they have to say about the services it provides and supports.

Councillor Simon Geraghty, Leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: “It was great to see so many people face to face at events last year and I’m delighted that we are out at events over the summer this year.

“The roadshows are a great way for local people to come and talk to us about the things that are going well in their local communities and issues that matter most to them. It’s also a great way to find out more about we spend our budget on the wide range of services we provide and support.

“We will be once again visiting events in all six districts to give people the chance to have their say so please come along and talk to us or visit the online roadshow if you are unable to make one of the events. We look forward to seeing you.”

• Far Forest Show Saturday 12 August
• Worcester Show Sunday 13 August
• Saltfest, Droitwich Saturday 2 September
• Upton Town Centre Saturday 9 September
• Worcester City Centre, Crowngate Shopping Centre Saturday 16 September
• Kidderminster Market, Town Centre Saturday 23 September
• Redditch Kingfisher Centre Saturday 30 September

The Digital Roadshow offers more information on how the Council spends the money it has available, the plan for Worcestershire over the next few years ‘Shaping Worcestershire’s Future’ and information about living well for longer.
