Have your say ahead of county’s new Learning Disability Strategy launching next year

This week is National Learning Disability Week.

The Learning Disability Partnership Board are keen to get everyone’s input into Worcestershire’s new Learning Disability Strategy.

The Board have launched a short survey to get views of those with Learning Disabilities and their families, and wider Worcestershire residents.

The results of the survey will help pull the strategy together.

Due to launch in 2023, the strategy will help to set out what people with Learning Disabilities and their families in Worcestershire want and need to support them in their everyday lives.

Councillor Adrian Hardman, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “We’re really hopeful that the Learning Disability strategy will become a key part of how we can all work together to help make Worcestershire a great place to live for everyone. The first step is to gather feedback from our residents who know best what it is like to live in our county, with or without a learning disability. I’d encourage everyone to take a few minutes and fill out the survey to help the strategy come together.”

Rachel Barrett, Lead Expert By Experience at Speakeasy N.O.W said: “It’s great working together on the next Learning Disability Strategy. We are helping to change people’s lives. You can only do this by listening and working together with people with lived experience.”
