Gritters will be out and about once again across Worcestershire this evening

Published date

Our gritting teams will be hitting the roads this evening as temperatures are set to drop to a minimum of -3 degrees.

Our gritters will be treating our Primary, Secondary and Snow Plus routes from 6pm.

Scattered snow showers have the potential to produce a slight covering of around 1cm overnight, although some higher routes towards the north and west of the county may see totals of between 1-3cm.

Snow showers will tend to turn more sleety later in the night and through the morning with a reduced risk of any settling.

A Winter service inspection will commence at midnight to monitor the impact of any snow.

To view your local gritting routes, please visit the Gritting, ice and snow pages of the Worcestershire County Council website.

A cold health amber alert remains in place until 6pm on Saturday 23 November.
