Councillor Andy Roberts, Cabinet Member for Children and Families at Worcestershire County Council said, “I am delighted to see that 'community' is at the heart of this year's Foster Care Fortnight. This fortnight is an opportunity to give thanks and show our support for our foster carers, who make an invaluable difference in the lives of children and young people throughout Worcestershire’s dedicated fostering community.

“However, the need for foster carers is ongoing, and we are always looking for new members to join our fostering family. I would encourage anyone considering fostering to come along to one of our pop-up events to find out more about what it's like to be a foster carer.

“Becoming a foster carer is one of the biggest and most rewarding decisions you'll ever make.”

Worcestershire Children First Fostering want to encourage those considering fostering to find out more about the journey to foster, speak with local fostering families, and find out more about what life could be like as a foster carer if you were to join Worcestershire's biggest fostering family.
