Residents have just under a week left to have their say on a proposed new pedestrian and cycling bridge in Hampton, Evesham.
The Council would also like to hear from the local community on the wider Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for the town, of which the proposed bridge is a key part.
The closing date to submit comments for the proposed bridge and/or the Evesham LCWIP is Monday, 20 December 2021.
Councillor Alan Amos, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Highways and Transport said: “Improving our local and walking cycling infrastructure is important to us across the county, and is an area we have invested in heavily in recent years. We’ve been really pleased with the levels of engagement we’ve had for our proposals in Evesham so far and we want to make sure we hear from as many residents as possible so we can take their thoughts into account going forward, so please do have a look at the proposals on our website and email your feedback across before the deadline.”
The proposed Hampton Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge will provide improved connectivity over the River Avon for pedestrians and cyclists travelling between Hampton, Evesham town centre and other local amenities.
