Final days to apply for county high school admissions in 2023

There is less than one week left for applications for high school admission for those pupils starting next year.

The deadline to apply for a place at a Worcestershire high school in 2023 is the 31 October 2022. 

Parents are advised to take into account transport to and from school when selecting their preferred school options and completing their application. 

The applications have been open online since the start of September and letters were sent to any child transitioning to a high school in the next school year.
 
Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Education at Worcestershire County Council, Councillor Tracey Onslow said: "The transition up the educational ladder is a big step for children, and we aim to make this change as smooth as possible.
  
"It's not too late to apply for the school of your preference however it is especially important that the deadline for application is met to avoid missing out on a place."
 
Letters and guides on starting school or transitioning to a new school have been sent to schools and have been distributed to those eligible to transition to new schools next year, there is a secure online system where parents can create an account and submit an application. 
 
The online system will also include guides on starting school or transitioning to a new school.

The deadline for applications to Primary, First, Junior and Middle schools is 15 January 2023.
