Ready Steady Worcestershire is working hard to ensure families across the county, who receive free school meals whilst at school, can continue to receive support over the upcoming Christmas break.

We have an activity booking system that is on the Ready Steady Worcestershire website giving you information about a wide range of free Christmas activities available in your area, with new activities being added every week.

Worcestershire Children First have partnered up with holiday clubs, activity providers and family days out all over the county for a fun, action packed Christmas Holiday period which includes ice skating, swimming, horse riding, theatre workshops, trips to the panto – including a specially created sensory performance at the Swan Theatre - and the return of the fantastic arts programme, organised by Severn Arts. As well as all the fantastic festive fun on offer, children attending HAF provision will receive a free nutritious meal.

Councillor Tracey Onslow, Cabinet Member for Education, said: β€œIt’s fantastic to see the variety and level of support on offer over the Christmas period for families across the county who receive free school meals. Thank you to the Ready Steady Worcestershire team and our partners who have worked hard to provide different activities over the Christmas break. As parents, we all know how expensive the Christmas period can be and anything for free is a bonus at this time of year! So I would encourage parents to keep an eye on the RSW website and take full advantage!”
