People hoping to improve their research skills using the county archives will be able to attend events at The Hive in May and June.

The series of workshops, run by Worcestershire’s Archive and Archaeology Service, will support those starting out on their research journey and show people more about how to use the Worcestershire Archive’s resources.

The workshops start with ‘House History’, which will help people discover more about the history of their house, or other building, and who lived there in the past.

Original documents, as well as copies, will be on hand for people to see what can be found in the archive collections.

Paul Hudson, Outreach manager, at Worcestershire County Council said, "Our workshops are very popular, and we are pleased to be able to resume them in The Hive, which allows people to get close to the documents, catalogues and other resources.

“The workshops are a great way of finding out more about the resources here and how they can help you get started or go deeper."

Further workshops will centre around different documents that can be viewed at The Archives.

Prices for these workshops vary between £6 and £16.

Places need to be booked in advance.
