The environment remains a priority for the county council and 2023 has seen continued work into preserving and protecting our environment for future generations.
That work has included:
- a total of 50,000 trees have now been planted, as part of 150,000 5 year target in 2022
- the County Council has achieved a 45% reduction in net Greenhouse Gas emissions (since 2009 to 2010)
- 21,000 streetlights upgraded to new LED since April 2022
- and nearly 500 Natural Flood Management measures are now in place across the county
We’re celebrating Worcestershire from A-Z throughout December.
