Storytelling is a powerful tool that allows us to inspire, teach and connect with others.
Stories inform us about the world, enable us to step into someone else’s shoes and they also help us to escape and relax.
Join us to celebrate the joy of storytelling at Worcestershire Libraries this National Storytelling Week (30 January to 5 February 2022).
The theme this year is ‘Your story, my story… stories belong to everyone, so what's your story?’
Councillor Matt Dormer, Cabinet Member with Responsibilities for Communities, said: “Your local library is a great place to connect with others over a shared love of reading to learn something new, tell your stories and reminisce. It’s the perfect place to rediscover a passion for reading and lose yourself in a good book.
“Adults and young people can come together at a whole host of reading, poetry and book clubs, both in libraries and online.
“And for our younger residents, there are lots of story time activities including Bounce and Rhyme, Little Readers and Under 5’s Storytime. A great way to keep your child entertained whilst helping them to develop their literacy skills.”
