The Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Mrs Beatrice Grant has issued the below statement, following the news today that the Reverend Canon Dr Stephen Edwards will be the new Dean of Worcester.

She said: “I extend my congratulations on Stephen Edwards appointment as the new Dean.  His exemplary service and unwavering dedication to faith and the community will continue to flourish under his new role.  Worcester Cathedral, under his guidance, will continue to grow as a beacon of spiritual growth, cultural heritage and community service.  I look forward to supporting Stephen in his new role and working together to build on the Cathedral’s proud legacy.”
