Worcestershire County Council is working with partners to support the West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC).
The County Council will work alongside the PCC, Herefordshire Council and NHS partners to ensure vital support for victims of sexual abuse in the region is able to continue sustainably in the long term.
Councillor Karen May, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Health and Wellbeing said: “We don’t want anyone to feel they have to suffer in silence, and we are committed to working with partners to understand the need in this area in Worcestershire and plan a sustainable long term way forward.
“We’ve made some great progress working with partners over the last few years to provide preventative as well as community services in a number of key areas and we’re really keen for this to continue where we can.”
