Three years on from the last set of residents roadshows, Worcestershire County Council will be visiting events across the county this summer to talk to residents about what they think is most important to them and their local communities.

The first event is set to be in Redditch this Saturday (9 July) where councillors and council staff will be on hand to share information about the services it provides.

There is also an opportunity for residents to ask questions at the Astwood Bank Carnival at the showground between 12pm to 5pm.

There will be opportunities to explore how the money residents spend on Council Tax is spent on services the Council provides along with information about its Corporate Plan; Shaping Worcestershire’s Future and fun exercises that will help our county’s people live well for longer - they’ll also be giving away resistance bands to help with those exercises!

Councillor Simon Geraghty, Leader of Worcestershire County Council said: “I’m really pleased the resident roadshows are able to return after three years away. The roadshows are a great way for us to find out what is important to our residents and how they feel we can make positive changes right across Worcestershire.

“These events will all take on a local angle, and councillors and council staff from areas such as Highways and Public Health will be available to answer your questions. My Cabinet colleagues and I are looking forward to speaking to our residents this summer about how they feel we can continue to shape Worcestershire’s future, so please come along to an event near you if you can.”
