Councillor Tracey Onslow has been elected as the new Chairman for Worcestershire County Council for the civic year 2024/25.

Tracey has been a District Councillor since 2007 and a County Councillor since 2017. She will be taking over the role from Councillor Kyle Daisley.

In her time as a County Councillor, Tracey has been Cabinet Member for Education, and a member of the Council’s Children & Families Panel.

In her career, Tracey was Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia for 6 years, as well as Managing Director of a property company.  

She has served 3 terms as a Cabinet Member for Wyre Forest District Council, and is currently Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts, Community Safety, Emergency Planning, Regulatory Services & Culture.

Councillor Tracey Onslow, Chairman of Worcestershire County Council said: “This is a huge honour for me, as I am a Worcestershire girl, born and bred.  I love our County and being Chairman will give me further opportunities to explore our gorgeous towns and beautiful countryside.  I would like to thank my family, local residents and my colleagues for their support; I am looking forward to a busy year ahead.”

Councillor Allah Ditta has been appointed Vice Chairman for the new Civic year.
