Changes to death registration in Worcestershire

For deaths within Worcestershire this means informants must attend an appointment at one of the Worcestershire register offices.

Once the paperwork has been received from the Doctor or Coroner, informants will need to book an appointment via Worcestershire County Council’s website

Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities at Worcestershire County Council said, “We understand that losing someone is a difficult experience. Our staff are continuing to ensure that the process of registering a death is as smooth as possible.

“The return of in-person registration means that we are able to offer an understanding face to face approach to help support residents during what can often be a challenging time.”

The change comes as the temporary national guidance ends.
