Worcestershire County Council is thrilled to announce the return of its Careers and Apprenticeship Roadshow events, with two chances for Worcestershire young people to attend.

The Careers and Apprenticeship Roadshow, which provides 15–24-year-olds with advice and support on career and education next steps, was held last year at County Hall in Worcester, returning after a 2-year hiatus caused by the pandemic. The event proved so popular that this year the county council are putting on two events to help as many young people as possible, one in Worcester and one in Redditch.

The Careers & Apprenticeship Roadshow events take place at Worcester’s Sixways Stadium on Thursday 5th October and at the Heart of Worcestershire College campus in Redditch on Tuesday 17th October.

Mark Fitton, Director of People at Worcestershire County Council, said he was looking forward to both events, "We are excited to be able to double our efforts and bring two events like this to the county. They will provide insights into a wide range of opportunities for young people including how to apply for jobs, information on academic pathways such as 6th form, college, study programmes and university, and help them to explore the world of traineeship and apprenticeships. Events like this can help them make informed decisions about their future, empowering them as they explore post-16 education and career options."

The Careers and Apprenticeship Roadshow events promise to be informative, engaging, and an excellent opportunity for young people to connect with industry experts, educators, and career advisors.

Both events are free to attend, and pre-booking is not required. Interested participants are encouraged to simply drop in anytime between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
