Worcester-based entrepreneur Naomi Wachner is among the many start-up business owners to benefit from Worcestershire County Council’s Enterprising Worcestershire Business Coaching initiative.
After returning from maternity leave, Naomi sought more flexibility in her career. With a strong background in legal services, she explored opportunities to apply her skills remotely to support businesses and lawyers. This led her to founding Calibre Virtual Assistant Services, an outsourcing agency offering high-quality administrative support to business owners.
Through Enterprising Worcestershire initiative, Naomi was paired with a dedicated coach from Real World Consultancy. Together, they worked on refining her brand, clarifying her core values, and developing a clear, actionable plan for her business.
Naomi Wachner, Founder of Calibre Virtual Assistant Services, said, “Being a part of Enterprising Worcestershire has been transformative. The coaching gave me the clarity and confidence to establish my business with purpose. I’m now bolder in my approach, and I encourage any entrepreneur—whether you're just starting out or looking to scale—to apply for this invaluable support.”
Councillor Adam Kent, Worcestershire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, praised the initiative’s impact: “Naomi’s success story highlights how the Enterprising Worcestershire business coaching initiative empowers entrepreneurs to turn their vision into reality. We’re proud to support businesses like Naomi’s, providing fully funded coaching that helps refine business strategies and contributes to long-term growth.”
Since completing the programme, Naomi has earned several award nominations, including winning the prestigious 'Start-up Businesswoman of the Year 2024' at the West Midlands Regional Awards.
The Enterprising Worcestershire business coaching initiative continues to provide essential support to businesses across the region, equipping entrepreneurs with the tools, resources, and expertise to thrive.
