Works are set to take place in Bromsgrove Town Centre, at the south end of High Street, outside of the pedestrianised zone from 15 April 2024.
The works will be carried out under a one-way closure, Monday to Friday, with the road closed to traffic in the eastbound direction for 26 weeks to allow the works to take place.
A diversion route will be in place.
Full details can be found at the Bromsgrove town centre improvements pages of the Worcestershire County Council website.
The road will be fully open at weekends and pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to minimise disruptions to residents, businesses, and visitors in the area.
The work is being carried out by Worcestershire County Council in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council and will consist of improvements on the eastern footway such as upgrading the paving to complement the rest of the High Street, introducing new street trees, cycle parking, and benches, as well as improving drainage and removing street clutter.
