Navigating the sometimes-tricky landscape of apprenticeships has just become a lot easier, with the launch of a brand-new Worcestershire Apprenticeships website.

The launch of the new online home of Worcestershire Apprenticeships (WA) promises an enhanced user experience, offering an easy-to-navigate platform for people in Worcestershire to kick-start their apprenticeship journey. As well as hosting a range of apprenticeships that span diverse industry sectors, the website also offers the option to create a personalised WA Account, streamlining the apprenticeship inquiry process even further.

The WA Account lets users express their interest in specific apprenticeships and connects them directly with relevant local training providers who, in turn offer dedicated support to guide them toward their apprenticeship goals. The site also has details on the new WA Bursary, a £500 grant that is available to eligible young adults aged 16 to 24. The bursary can be used towards some of the initial costs associated with starting an apprenticeship, such as travel or buying equipment or essentials.

Judy Gibbs, Head of Skills and Investment at Worcestershire County Council, said the website is an invaluable tool, "We’re really excited about the new-look Worcestershire Apprenticeships website. It gives people a vibrant, user-friendly platform to discover and pursue their dream apprenticeships along with tailored resources designed to empower them. It’s the place to log onto whether you’re a prospective apprentice, an employer, a school, a parent, or a carer wanting to know more about apprenticeships.

It will make it easier than ever for young adults to explore all the apprenticeship opportunities across our county, plus it showcases the fantastic WA Bursary. As WA gears up for its tenth anniversary next year our new website symbolises a bright, bold move forward, and reflects our commitment to the future of apprenticeships and providing the best possible support to the Worcestershire community.”

The newly redesigned WA website comes a month ahead of the 9th annual WA Awards which takes place on Thursday 16th November at West Midlands Safari Park, recognising and honouring some of the counties apprentices from across different sectors.
