Worcestershire employers are being invited to attend free clinics to understand more about the support available to hire apprentices.

The Apprenticeship Advice Clinics, to be held on Thursday 20 April, are being put on by Worcestershire Growth Hub and Worcestershire Apprenticeships to help local small and medium sized businesses understand how to hire apprentices.

The two clinics will be held at Avoncroft Museum in Bromsgrove from 8am to10am and at The Swan at Whittington in Worcester from 12pm to 2pm, with free food and refreshments.

Mark Fitton, Director for People at Worcestershire County Council, said: “These exciting, free advice clinics are designed to help local organisations understand the benefits of hiring apprentices, and how to go about doing it. They will also highlight the support that we offer for both the employer and apprentice, while the Worcestershire Growth Hub will be able to provide wider business support advice too.

I’ve seen first-hand how apprenticeships offer a pathway for employers to take on people who are willing to learn new skills and how crucial they can be to building a workforce plan. We are proud to offer support to Worcestershire businesses when it comes to apprenticeships, and clinics such as these are a real boon for local employers. The clinics being offered are free to attend, but I’m told that places are limited, so anyone interested is encouraged to secure their place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment”

Worcestershire employers can secure their place online, visit the Eventbrite webpage or by calling 01905 677888.

Worcestershire Apprenticeships and Worcestershire Growth Hub are business support brands in collaboration with Worcestershire County Council and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership.
