Martin Smith from Redditch Library finished this project restoring and digitising the 16mm film he found in the archive. It’s a 50-minute, full-colour documentary, and is a brilliant snapshot of life in the town in 1957.

He re-edited it, scored it with Edward Elgar, and recorded new narration with people from the town, e.g. the former mayor, former Birmingham poet laureate Spoz.
