Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2025 [Prohibition of Waiting and Restriction of Waiting on Williamson Road, Worcester]

On 20 February 2025 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester

Williamson Road (West side): from a point 63 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 17 metres in a south-westerly direction.

Williamson Road (West side): from a point 131 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 76 metres in a southerly direction.

Williamson Road (East side): from a point 18 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 184 metres in a southerly direction.

Williamson Road (East side): from a point 245 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction.

Williamson Road (East side): from a point 373 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction.

Restriction of Waiting Monday to Friday 8 am-5.30 pm

Williamson Road (West side): from a point 80 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 51 metres in a south-westerly direction.

Williamson Road (West side): from a point 334 metres south of its junction with Newtown Road for a distance of 78 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 13 March 2025.

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
