Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2023 [Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time & Restriction of Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-5pm on Weir Lane, Worcester]
On 16 May 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester:-
Weir Lane (North side): from a point 43 metres east of its junction with Bromwich Road for a distance of 74 metres in an easterly direction;
(South side): from its junction with Weir Lane (western access road) to its junction with Weir Lane (eastern access road).
Weir Lane (western access road) (Both sides): from its junction with Weir Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
And to restrict waiting Mon-Sat 8am-5pm
Weir Lane (South side): from a point 59 metres east of its junction with Bromwich Road for a distance of 13 metres in an easterly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 6 June 2024.

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
