Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (Wyre Forest District – Kidderminster area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Marlpool Lane (St Catherine's Primary School), Kidderminster]
On 27 June 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Kidderminster:
Marlpool Lane (east side) from its junction with Willowfield drive for a distance of 15m in a southerly direction.
Marlpool Lane (west side) from its junction with Willowfield drive for a distance of 17m in a southerly direction and 13m in a northern westerly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 18 July 2024.
A copy of the Order, relevant map and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be downloaded at the Wyre Forest Public Notice Page on the Worcestershire County Council Website inspected at Kidderminster Library, Market Street, Kidderminster DY10 1AD and County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP during normal office hours.
The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
