Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2023 [Prohibition of Waiting and Restriction of Waiting on Canterbury Road/ Various Roads, Worcester]
Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester:
Canterbury Road (western arm)
Southeast side: from its junction with Durham Road (western arm) for 10 metres in a south westerly direction; from its junction with Lichfield Avenue (northwestern arm) for 13 metres in a north easterly and 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
Northeast side: from its junction with Norwich Road for 10 metres in both a north westerly and south easterly direction.
Northwest side: from its junction with Peterborough Close for 5 metres in a north easterly direction and 2 metres in a south westerly direction.
Southwest side: from a point 7 metres northwest of its junction with Liverpool Road for 3 metres in a north westerly direction
Canterbury Road (eastern arm)
North side: from its junction with Westminster Road for 10 metres in both an easterly and westerly direction.
Southeast side: from its junction with Carlisle Road (southwestern arm) for 10 metres in both a south westerly and north easterly direction; from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Carlisle Road (northeastern arm) for 5 metres in a south westerly direction and from a point 10 metres northeast of that junction for 5 metres in a north easterly direction.
Both sides: from its junction with Lichfield Avenue crossroads for 10 metres in both a north easterly and south westerly direction.
Durham Road (western arm)
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road (western arm) for 10 metres in an easterly direction.
Lichfield Avenue (northwestern arm)
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road (western arm) for 10 metres in a south easterly direction.
Norwich Road
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road for 6 metres in a north easterly direction.
Liverpool Road
Both sides: from a point 7 metres south of its junction with Canterbury Road for 5 metres in a southerly direction.
Westminster Road
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road for 5 metres in a northerly direction.
Carlisle Road (southwestern arm)
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road for 5 metres in a south easterly direction.
Northwest side: from its junction with Lichfield Avenue (southeastern arm) for 10 metres in both a north easterly and south westerly direction.
Lichfield Avenue (crossroads)
Both sides: from its junction with Canterbury Road for 10 metres in both a north westerly and south easterly direction.
Lichfield Avenue (southeastern arm)
Both sides: from its junction with Carlisle Road for 10 metres in a north westerly direction.
Chelmsford Drive
Southwest side: from its junction with Newcastle Close for 6 metres in a north westerly direction and 13 metres in a south easterly direction.
Newcastle Close
East side: from its junction with Chelmsford Drive for 19 metres in a south westerly direction.
West side: from its junction with Chelmsford Drive for 7 metres in a south westerly direction.
Restrict Waiting between the hours of 8am-5.30pm Mon-Fri on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester:
Canterbury Road (western arm)
Southeast side: from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Durham Road (western arm) for 23 metres in a south westerly direction; from a point 13 metres northeast of its junction with Lichfield Avenue (western arm) for 8 metres in a north easterly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
