Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (District of Wychavon – Pershore) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2004 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Abbey Road, Pershore]
On 31 October 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting any time on the following sides and length of roads in Pershore: -
Abbey Road (West Side): from its junction with Farleigh Road for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly and 15m in a southerly direction and from its junction with Abbots Road for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly and 17metres in a southerly direction.
Farleigh Road (West Side): from its junction with Abbey Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction on both sides.
Abbots Road (West Side): from its junction with Abbey Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction on both sides.
Abbey Road (East Side): from a point 68 metres, from its junction with St Andrews Road, for a distance of 31 metres and from a point 179 metres, from their junction, a further distance of 36 metres, in a northerly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 21 November 2024.

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
