Best hot chocolate

This warming drink will be loved by young and old alike and uses up those bits of milk that may be getting near to their "Use By" date

Ingredients: (serves 4)

  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 850ml milk
  • 100g classic 74% dark chocolate, chopped

Method:

  1. Whisk the cocoa powder and caster sugar into 50ml milk until dissolved.
  2. Pour the remaining milk into a pan, add the chocolate mixture and bring to the boil.
  3. Chop the dark chocolate and place nearly all of it into a mug.
  4. Pour over the boiling milk and sprinkle with the leftover chocolate to serve.
